31st Annual Berkshire Botanical Garden Plant Sale
May 9 &10, 9-5
Berkshire Botanical Garden, Stockbridge, MA

On sale will be thousands of perennials and annuals, rare and usual plants, organic and heirloom herbs and vegetables, edible plants, succulents, mixed containers for sun and shade, gardens in a box, rock gardens, woodland and native plants, new culitvars and choice trees and shrubs, all in time for Mother's Day. Visitors receive free garden designs and organic gardening and planting advice from onsite experts. The Garden's gift shop will offer a special 25%-50% sale on selected items. Members receive a 10% discount on Garden plant purchases and volunteers will be on hand to help sign up new members. Early buying Friday from 8-10 (free to garden members, non members pay $10). Spring Farm Celebration

Open to the public, the day includes the opportunity to see the baby animals, including the spring ritualof the sheering of the sheep as well as demonstrations on weaving, gardening and beekeeping. In addition there will be a small farmer's market offering the sale of Glynwood-produced eggs and flowers as well as Sprout Creek Farm cheeses, hand woven afghans and books. Light refreshments featuring local foods will be available for sale. Space is limited.

Columbia County Bounty Chef to Farm Tour

The purpose of this tour is to give local chefs a better appreciation of the seasonality of agricultural products produced in Columbia County and the risk involved in growing food crops. The tour will begin at Grazin Angus Acres Farm with stops at Thompson-Finch Farm and Roonybrook Farm. This is a drive yourself tour, but some car pooling is available. There is no cost and the tour is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served during the tour. Reservations are encouraged.

Sheep Shearing & Wool Day
